December as such is an important time for many with religious celebrations taking place throughout the month. But there are also days in December that are important to members of different faiths. Buddhists mark Bodhi Day, as the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is observed by Roman Catholics.
The Islamic New Year is celebrated by the Muslim community and the Winter Solstice, is an important date for the Pagan community.
